QFor Christmas Eve, we always have a shrimp and fish fry as the main course. Any suggestions for a few appetizers to accompany our meal?

A

Christmas Eve is a special time, and your tradition sounds fabulous. Offering a few appetizers is a great way to both welcome guests and complement your main course.

A few minutes before your guests are expected, pop Roasted Onion & Garlic Crostini into the oven. While the fragrance of roasted vegetables fills the house with anticipation, get the party started with a colorful platter of Cranberry Chutney Cheese Spread with crackers. The crostini will be toasty warm and ready to serve before you know it!

Then, pop pre-baked and frozen Red Pepper Asiago Gougère Bites into the oven for 8-10 minutes—you’ll soon be ready for another round of irresistible, warm nibbles.

Before you cook the fish and shrimp, set out a tray of fresh veggies and dipping sauces. Everyone can munch away on veggies and any remaining appetizers as they eagerly await the main event.

Happy Holidays!

cornmeal hush puppies, pickled okra, corn fritters dusted in powdered sugar, are also great appetizers.
