Chewy Maple Sugar Cookies

2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour

2 teaspoons cream of tartar

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 cup Land O Lakes® Maple Brown Sugar Butter Spread

1 1/2 cups sugar

2 large Land O Lakes® Eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract


3 tablespoons sugar

How to make

  1. STEP 1

    Heat oven to 400°F.

  2. STEP 2

    Combine flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt in bowl; set aside.

  3. STEP 3

    Combine Maple Brown Sugar Butter Spread and 1 1/2 cups sugar in another bowl. Beat at medium speed until fluffy. Add eggs and vanilla; continue beating until well mixed. Add flour mixture; beat at low speed until well mixed.

  4. STEP 4

    Shape dough into 1 1/4-inch balls; roll in 3 tablespoons sugar. Place, 2 inches apart, onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 8-10 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.

Frosted Chewy Maple Sugar Cookies

Frost cooled cookies with Maple Brown Sugar Spread Buttercream. To make the buttercream, combine 2 1/4 cups powdered sugar and 3/4 cup Land O Lakes® Maple Brown Sugar Butter Spread in medium bowl. Beat at low speed until well mixed. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until light and fluffy.
