Cheesy Broccoli Salad

Ingredients

Salad

1 pound (8 cups) bite-sized broccoli florets

1 (8-ounce) bag Land O Lakes® Sharp Cheddar and Monterey Jack Cheese Cubes

1/2 cup dried cranberries

1/2 cup chopped cooked bacon

1/3 cup finely diced red onion

1/3 cup salted sunflower seeds

Dressing

3/4 cup mayonnaise

1/4 cup sour cream

3 tablespoons red wine vinegar

2 tablespoons sugar

1 teaspoon kosher salt

1/4 teaspoon pepper

How to make

  1. STEP 1

    Combine all salad ingredients in large bowl.

  2. STEP 2

    Whisk together all dressing ingredients in small bowl until well blended. Pour dressing over broccoli mixture; toss to combine.

  3. STEP 3

    Refrigerate at least 1 hour before serving. For best flavor, refrigerate 12 hours before serving.

Tip #1

If making more than a day in advance, store the salad and dressing separately, then mix together 1 hour before serving.

Tip #2

Reserve 1 tablespoon of the chopped bacon for garnishing the salad.

Tip #3

Substitute plain Greek yogurt for the sour cream, if desired.
