Ingredients

1/4 cup Land O Lakes® Butter

1 (10.5-ounce) package (6 cups) miniature marshmallows

3 tablespoons creamy peanut butter

1 teaspoon vanilla

1/2 teaspoon green food color

1 (6-ounce) package (4 cups) chow mein noodles

1 tablespoon red cinnamon candies

8 small gumdrops,  halved

*Substitute 4 cups rice noodles. **Substitute 15 pretzel nuggets.

How to make

  1. STEP 1

Combine butter and marshmallows in 3-quart saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, 4-6 minutes or until smooth. Stir in peanut butter, vanilla and food color; mix well. Add noodles; quickly stir until well coated.

  2. STEP 2

Place a large sheet of waxed paper onto counter. Lightly spray a tablespoon measuring spoon with no-stick cooking spray. Drop heaping tablespoonfuls of mixture onto waxed paper. Shape mixture into trees with lightly greased fingers, working quickly so mixture does not harden.

  3. STEP 3

Immediately decorate trees with candies using cinnamon candies for ornaments and gumdrop halves for trunk. Let stand until firm. Store in loosely covered container between sheets of waxed paper.

Tip #1

- If cinnamon candies do not stick, use a dab of honey or light corn syrup as glue.

Tip #2

- For a gift idea, wrap trees in decorative plastic food wrap and tie with a ribbon.
