Ingredients

1/4 cup
Land O Lakes® Butter
1 (10.5-ounce) package (6 cups)
miniature marshmallows
3 tablespoons
creamy peanut butter
1 teaspoon
vanilla
1/2 teaspoon
green food color
1 (6-ounce) package (4 cups)
chow mein noodles*
1 tablespoon
red cinnamon candies
8
small gumdrops**, halved

*Substitute 4 cups rice noodles.
**Substitute 15 pretzel nuggets.

Directions

  1. Combine butter and marshmallows in 3-quart saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until smooth (4-6 minutes). Stir in peanut butter, vanilla and food color; mix well. Add noodles; quickly stir until well coated.
  2. Place a large sheet of waxed paper onto counter. Lightly spray a tablespoon measuring spoon with no-stick cooking spray. Drop heaping tablespoonfuls of mixture onto waxed paper. Shape mixture into trees with lightly greased fingers, working quickly so mixture does not harden.
  3. Immediately decorate trees with candies using cinnamon candies for ornaments and gumdrop halves for trunk. Let stand until firm (about 30 minutes). Store in loosely covered container between sheets of waxed paper.

Recipe Tips

- If cinnamon candies do not stick, use a dab of honey or light corn syrup as glue.

- For a gift idea, wrap trees in decorative plastic food wrap and tie with a ribbon.
