Fresh berries and shortcake are the perfect summer dessert.

1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup Land O Lakes® Butter
2 large Land O Lakes® Eggs
1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 cups fresh strawberries and/or blueberries
Land O Lakes® Heavy Whipping Cream, whipped
Heat oven to 400°F.
Combine all shortcake ingredients in bowl. Beat at medium speed until well mixed.
Spread batter into greased and floured 8-inch square baking pan. Bake 22-25 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool completely. Cut into squares.
Serve shortcake with berries and whipped cream.
