Ingredients

Sauce

1/3 cup sour cream

1 teaspoon adobo sauce

Burgers

1 pound lean ground beef

1 tablespoon chipotle chile peppers in adobo sauce, finely chopped

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon pepper

4 (3/4-ounce) slices Land O Lakes® Deli American, cut into quarters

8 (3-inch) slider or dollar-sized buns, split

8 slices Roma tomato

4 leaf lettuce leaves, halved

8 red onion rings

How to make

  1. STEP 1

    Heat gas grill on medium or charcoal grill until coals are ash white.

  2. STEP 2

    Combine sour cream and adobo sauce in bowl; mix well. Cover; refrigerate until serving time.

  3. STEP 3

    Combine ground beef, chipotle peppers, salt and pepper in bowl. Shape into 8 small patties.

  4. STEP 4

    Place patties onto grill. Grill, turning once, 8-10 minutes or until internal temperature reaches at least 160°F and meat is no longer pink in center. Top each burger with 2 pieces cheese; let melt slightly.

  5. STEP 5

    Top each bottom half of bun with 1 lettuce leaf half, 1 slice tomato, 1 burger, 2 teaspoons sour cream mixture, 1 red onion ring and top half of bun.
