3 tablespoons Land O Lakes® Butter
1 (10-ounce) package regular marshmallows
1/2 cup peanut butter
6 cups crisp rice cereal
1 cup real semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 tablespoons shortening
1/4 cup peanut butter-flavored baking chips
1 teaspoon shortening
*Substitute 4 cups miniature marshmallows.
STEP 1
Lightly butter 13x9-inch pan. Set aside.
STEP 2
Melt butter in 4-quart saucepan over low heat. Add marshmallows; stir until completely melted. Stir in peanut butter. Remove from heat. Add cereal; stir until well coated.
STEP 3
Pat cereal mixture evenly into prepared pan. Cool completely. Cut cereal mixture with 3-inch cat-shaped cookie cutter.
STEP 4
Place chocolate chips and 2 tablespoons shortening in 1-quart saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, until melted and smooth. Dip top side of cat cutout in chocolate.
STEP 5
Place peanut butter chips and 1 teaspoon shortening in another 1-quart saucepan. Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally, until melted and smooth. Drizzle evenly over cats as desired. Let stand about 30 minutes until set.
- To make it extra easy to cut out the cat shapes, line pan with aluminum foil extending foil over edges. Butter foil. When cool, use foil to lift from pan. Cut with cat-shaped cookie cutter.
