Garlic Toast Hearts

These creatively shaped garlic toasts are great as an accompaniment to salad or soup.

Ingredients

1 (16-ounce) package cocktail bread

5 tablespoons Land O Lakes® Butter melted

1 teaspoon finely chopped fresh garlic

1/4 cup freshly shredded Parmesan cheese

How to make

  1. STEP 1

    Heat oven to 400°F.

  2. STEP 2

    Cut heart shapes out of cocktail bread with 2-inch heart-shaped cookie cutter; set aside.

  3. STEP 3

    Spread 1 tablespoon melted butter on 15x10x1-inch baking pan; set aside.

  4. STEP 4

    Combine remaining melted butter and garlic in bowl. Brush on top of hearts. Place hearts into baking pan.

  5. STEP 5

    Sprinkle hearts with Parmesan cheese. Bake 4-7 minutes or until toasted.

Tip #1

Cocktail bread comes in a variety of flavors and usually can be found in the deli section of the grocery store.
