4 cups powdered sugar
1/4 cup Land O Lakes® Half & Half
1/2 cup Land O Lakes® Butter, softened
2 teaspoons vanilla
Food color, if desired
Combine all ingredients in bowl. Beat at low speed, scraping bowl often, until creamy. Tint with food color, if desired. Add additional half & half, 1 teaspoon at a time, to reach desired spreading consistency.
For a no-mess disposable pastry bag, spoon icing into a clean resealable plastic food bag. Seal; snip off corner. Decorate cake or cookies as desired.

Because the frosting calls for half and half, does that mean that the cake would have to be refrigerated? Or will the frosting be okay at room temperature.
Hi Pat, you can keep the frosting at room temperature for about 2 hours, otherwise we'd suggest keeping it stored in the refrigerated. Happy baking!
