Ingredients

1 (10-ounce) package white miniature marshmallows

1 tablespoon water

1 pound (4 cups) powdered sugar

1 Half Stick (1/4 cup) Land O Lakes® Butter, softened

Food color, if desired

How to make

  1. STEP 1

    Combine marshmallows and water in bowl. Microwave, stirring every 30 seconds, 1 1/2 minutes or until melted and smooth. Add powdered sugar and butter; mix into marshmallow mixture, using buttered hands, until combined. Add food color, if desired. Knead fondant until smooth.

  2. STEP 2

    Roll out fondant on board dusted with powdered sugar to appropriate size for cake.

Tip #1

It’s a good idea to use gloves during the tinting process because you need to work the food color in with your hands.

Using this recipe was so easy but I also agree very hard to roll out. My first time making fondant and will use this recipe.

I would never make this recipe. All I want is a carrot cake that uses two cake pans so I can put the frosting inside. As far as decoration. colored powdered sugar or orange & green gumdrops would work just fine.

That was easy! But I am wondering if the food processor could be used instead of doing it by hand - it's a little tough on arthritic hands.
