Ingredients

1 (10-ounce) package
white miniature marshmallows
1 tablespoon
water
1 pound (4 cups)
powdered sugar
1
Half Stick (1/4 cup) Land O Lakes® Butter, softened
Food color, if desired

Directions

  1. Combine marshmallows and water in bowl. Microwave, stirring every 30 seconds, 1 1/2 minutes or until melted and smooth. Add powdered sugar and butter; mix into marshmallow mixture, using buttered hands, until combined. Add food color, if desired. Knead fondant until smooth.
  2. Roll out fondant on board dusted with powdered sugar to appropriate size for cake.

Recipe Tips

It’s a good idea to use gloves during the tinting process because you need to work the food color in with your hands.

Using this recipe was so easy but I also agree very hard to roll out. My first time making fondant and will use this recipe.

I would never make this recipe. All I want is a carrot cake that uses two cake pans so I can put the frosting inside. As far as decoration. colored powdered sugar or orange & green gumdrops would work just fine.

That was easy! But I am wondering if the food processor could be used instead of doing it by hand - it's a little tough on arthritic hands.
