1/2 cup Land O Lakes® Butter, softened
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 large Land O Lakes® Egg
1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup roasted, salted whole almonds, coarsely chopped
1 cup dark or semi-sweet chocolate baking chips
3/4 cup caramel ice cream topping
*Substitute roasted salted pecans or walnuts.
Heat oven to 350°F.
Combine butter, brown sugar and egg in bowl. Beat at medium speed until smooth. Add flour; beat at low speed until well mixed.
Press mixture onto bottom of greased 13x9-inch baking pan. Bake 18-20 minutes or until edges are golden brown and center is set.
Remove from oven; sprinkle almonds and chocolate chips over hot, partially baked crust. Spoon or drizzle caramel topping over top.
Continue baking 8-10 minutes or until edges are bubbly. Cool completely. Cut into bars.

I made these caramel bars for a family gathering and everyone loved them and raved about them.I too agree with the previous comment about the caramel being so sticky.Keeping them in the fridge helps and I don't think you need to add so much caramel sauce.
I would add up to 1 TBSP flour to the caramel ice cream topping prior to pouring it over the base, to make the finished product less sticky. The bars are great and disappeared quickly.
