Warm Thai Basil Noodles

Ingredients

Sauce

1/2 cup chopped fresh basil leaves

1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro

1/4 cup fresh lime juice

2 tablespoons Land O Lakes® Unsalted Butter,  melted

2 tablespoons honey

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon chopped fresh gingerroot**

1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

Noodles

2 tablespoons Land O Lakes® Unsalted Butter 

1 cup pea pods, strings removed, cut in half

1 cup julienne or matchstick carrots

1 teaspoon finely chopped fresh garlic

12 ounces dried linguine noodles , broken in half, cooked according to package directions, drained

Topping

1/2 cup sliced green onions, if desired

1/2 cup chopped salted peanuts, if desired

 

 *Substitute Land O Lakes® Salted Butter. **Substitute 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger.

How to make

  1. STEP 1

    Combine all sauce ingredients in small bowl; mix well. Set aside.

  2. STEP 2

    Melt 2 tablespoons butter in 12-inch skillet over medium-high heat until sizzling; add pea pods, carrots and garlic. Continue cooking 2-3 minutes or until carrots are crisply tender. Stir in cooked noodles and sauce. Continue cooking 2-3 minutes or until heated through.

  3. STEP 3

    Top with sliced green onion and chopped peanuts, if desired. Serve immediately.
