Bacon & Tomato Grilled Cheese

8 slices whole wheat or multi-grain bread

4 tablespoons Land O Lakes® Butter, softened

8 (3/4-ounce) slices Land O Lakes® Deli American

8 thin slices tomato, patted dry

8 slices crisply cooked bacon

12 to 16 spinach leaves,   if desired

 *Substitute fresh basil leaves.

How to make

  1. STEP 1

    Spread 1 side of each bread slice with 1/2 tablespoon butter.

  2. STEP 2

    Layer 1 slice cheese, 2 slices tomato, 2 slices bacon, 3 to 4 spinach leaves and 1 slice cheese onto each of 4 slices bread, buttered-side down. Top with remaining bread slices, buttered-side up.

  3. STEP 3

    Heat 10-inch skillet over medium heat.

  4. STEP 4

    Place 1 sandwich into skillet; cook, turning once, 8-10 minutes or until golden brown and cheese is melted. Repeat with remaining sandwiches.
