2 tablespoons Land O Lakes® Butter

1 pound tomatillos, husked, stems trimmed, cut into 1-inch chunks

1 small (1/2 cup) onion, coarsely chopped

2 teaspoons finely chopped fresh garlic

1 teaspoon chili powder

1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

1/4 teaspoon garlic salt

1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper (cayenne)

1/4 teaspoon salt

How to make

  1. STEP 1

    Melt butter in 10-inch skillet until sizzling. Add tomatillos, onion, garlic, chili powder, cumin, garlic salt, and ground red pepper. Cook over medium heat 5-6 minutes or until tomatillos are tender. Remove from heat. Stir in salt. Cool 10 minutes.

  2. STEP 2

    Place tomatillo mixture into food processor bowl fitted with metal blade. Pulse until small pieces remain.
