S'more Ways Than One

It’s one of my favorite times of the year. Summer is great, of course. But I’m talking about s’mores season. Thinking about the trifecta of crisp graham crackers, melty chocolate, and sticky, golden marshmallows almost makes me tear up. I look forward to warm nights spent around a campfire with family and friends all year. But sometimes there are occasions where you can’t make s’mores easily – think family reunions, potlucks and backyard BBQ’s. So, I like to take my obsession with the gooey, chocolatey delicacy and translate it into recipes you can make all year long (and bring with you to places that don’t have a campfire). Here are some of our Test Kitchen favorites:

S’more Cookie Bars – A toasted 7-minute frosting and melted chocolate bars top these portable graham cookie bars.

S’more Star Cookies – Graham cracker butter cookies cut out like stars, topped with chocolate and toasted marshmallow fondant are as impressive as they are delicious.

S’more Ice Cream Sandwiches – Everyone loves an ice cream sandwich, but when you make a homemade version, it takes them to the next level. These homemade graham cookies surround a marshmallowy ice cream filling and are rolled in mini chocolate chips.
