Spicy Crispy Chickpeas

2 (15.5-ounce) cans chickpeas, rinsed, drained

1 Half Stick (1/4 cup) Land O Lakes® Butter, melted

1 teaspoon kosher salt

1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper (cayenne)

How to make

  1. STEP 1

    Heat oven to 425°F.

  2. STEP 2

    Dry drained chickpeas thoroughly with paper towel. Place chickpeas onto rimmed baking sheet; roast 10 minutes.

  3. STEP 3

    Combine melted butter, salt and cayenne in small bowl; pour over chickpeas, tossing to coat. Continue roasting, stirring every 15 minutes, 45 minutes or until chickpeas are deep golden brown, puffed and crisp. Watch carefully during last 5 minutes as oven temperatures may vary. 

  4. STEP 4

    Cool completely on baking sheet before storing in airtight container.

Enjoy these crispy chickpeas as a straight-up snack or sprinkle them on salads, soups or rice bowls.
