Bacon, Egg & Cheese Hand Pies

1 (13.8-ounce) package refrigerated pizza crust dough

8 (3/4-ounce) slices Land O Lakes® Deli American

6 large Land O Lakes® Eggs, beaten, scrambled

4 slices crisply cooked bacon, crumbled

1 large Land O Lakes® Egg, beaten

How to make

  1. STEP 1

    Heat oven to 450°F. Grease or line baking sheet with parchment paper; set aside.

  2. STEP 2

    Press pizza dough into 15x10-inch rectangle. Cut into 4 (7x5-inch rectangles).

  3. STEP 3

    Place 1 slice cheese onto half of each piece of dough. Top each with 1/3 cup scrambled eggs, 1/4 crumbled bacon and 1 slice cheese. Fold dough over filling, aligning edges. Press edges with fork to seal.

  4. STEP 4

    Place onto prepared pan. Brush tops with egg; cut 2 slits in top with sharp knife.

  5. STEP 5

    Bake 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.

Tip #1

To make ahead, prepare and bake as directed above; cool. Wrap each in plastic food wrap; place into large resealable freezer bag. Freeze up to 2 months. To reheat, place 1 frozen hand pie onto microwave-safe plate; microwave 45-60 seconds or until heated through.

I agree that this hand pie tastes good. You could make some changes to the recipe to use different ingredients instead of bacon, eggs and cheese which do have fat. Try deli turkey or ham, include some spinach and use a 2% American Cheese or a lower sodium cheese instead.
