Classic Peanut Butter Cookies

Ingredients

1 cup firmly packed brown sugar

1/2 cup Land O Lakes® Butter, softened

1/2 cup peanut butter

1 large Land O Lakes® Egg

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

How to make

  1. STEP 1

    Heat oven to 350°F.

  2. STEP 2

    Combine brown sugar, butter and peanut butter in bowl. Beat on medium speed until well mixed. Add egg and vanilla; continue beating until well mixed. Add flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Beat at low speed until well mixed.

  3. STEP 3

    Shape dough into 1 1/2-inch balls; roll in sugar. Place 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets; flatten balls in criss-cross pattern with fork dipped in sugar. Bake 8-10 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.

Perfect texture; excellent proportions of butter to sugar to peanut butter to dry ingredients; made a smaller batch which was just the right amount for my small family.

I didn’t use the butter the recipe called for but my grandma said ADD EXTRA EXTRA peanut butter she tried some raw dough she almost died of a flavorful impact. Baking them for my BFF program tomorrow 🤗🤗 hopefully they like them.!.!.!.!

Used the base recipe for my journey in trying to satisfy the sweet tooth of my charges! I am a nanny and the pantry here is awful!! Never anything I need! No brown sugar(used all white.. no vanilla (used Carmel sauce)expired baking powder (used double) no butter (used margarine) And result was a Fantastic Cookie!
