 
                    Double Onion Hamburgers

Ingredients
Topping
1 large (2 cups) red onion, halved, sliced
2 medium (2 cups) white or yellow onions, halved, sliced
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon cider vinegar
Burgers
1 pound lean ground beef
34 teaspoon salt
14 teaspoon pepper
4 onion buns, split
8 (3/4-ounce) slices Land O Lakes® White Deli American
How to make
- 
                                    STEP 1 Heat gas grill to medium or charcoal grill until coals are ash white. 
- 
                                    STEP 2 Combine all topping ingredients in 12-inch nonstick skillet. Cook over medium heat 10-15 minutes or until onions are softened. Remove from heat. Keep warm. 
- 
                                    STEP 3 Combine ground beef, salt and pepper in bowl. Shape into 4 patties. Place patties onto grill. Grill, turning once, 15-18 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 160°F and meat is no longer pink in center. 
- 
                                    STEP 4 Place burgers onto bottom half of buns. Top each with 2 slices cheese; let melt slightly. Divide onion mixture evenly among burgers; place top half of bun over burger.
