1 tablespoon
Land O Lakes® Butter
4 medium (2 cups)
carrots, sliced
2 ribs (1 cup)
celery, sliced
1 small (1/2 cup)
onion, chopped
5 cups
turkey stock or broth
1 cup
1/2 teaspoon
dried marjoram
1/2 teaspoon
2 cups
chopped cooked turkey
2 cups
uncooked dried wide egg noodles


  1. Melt butter in 4-quart saucepan over medium heat until sizzling; add carrots, celery and onion. Continue cooking 3-4 minutes or until vegetables are slightly softened.
  2. Add all remaining soup ingredients except noodles. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low; cook, uncovered, 12-15 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Add noodles; continue cooking 5-7 minutes or until noodles are tender.

Recipe Tips

- This recipe is a great way to use leftover Thanksgiving turkey.

- You can substitute chicken stock for turkey broth and cooked chicken for the turkey.

I made this soup but I didn't have egg noodles at the time so I used long grain rice. I also added a bay leaf and garlic powder. It was very good.


Very good Recipe. Read further down and added some other things to the soup as well.. The post by Laura with the bay leaf and garlic powder was a great idea, I added some oregano and onion powder to it as well... Yummy


I made this using chicken stock because I didn't have any Turkey stock and it was fabulous. I also added some parsley, chopped chives., celery salt, garlic powder, and a Bay leaf. Very yummy.


Love soup and I picked up cooked turkey at the deli and it was delicious this will be my after thanksgiving left over turkey go to recipe.


The trick here, which they do NOT include, is that's it's most helpful to PRE-Pare you're own stock, using the leftover Turkey carcass as the base, throw in celery, carrots, onions & I like garlic and after bringing to a quick boil, simmer for an hour or so, skimming off any fat, bubbles, scum, what ever cha want to call it*!* Then strain, & what you have is AMAZING TURKEY STOCK that will make any soup taste so much better than canned*!* ENJOY*!* REBECCA*
