Ingredients

1 (16- to 18-ounce)
round loaf Italian or sourdough bread
1/4 cup
Land O Lakes® Butter, melted
1 teaspoon
dry ranch dressing mix
1/2 cup (about 5 slices)
cooked chopped thick-cut bacon
1/4 cup
jarred jalapeño peppers, chopped
10 (3/4-ounce) slices
Land O Lakes® Deli American, chopped
2 teaspoons
chopped fresh parsley, if desired

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350°F. Place two (24-inch) pieces aluminum foil, crossing one over the other, on flat surface.
  2. Cut bread, using serrated knife, in grid pattern, spacing about 1-inch between rows. Do not cut through bottom crust. Set aside.
  3. Combine melted butter and ranch dressing in medium bowl. Add all remaining ingredients except parsley; mix well.
  4. Place loaf in center of aluminum foil pieces. Spoon cheese mixture into cut areas of bread. Wrap foil loosely around bread. Place onto ungreased baking sheet.
  5. Bake 30 minutes. Pull back foil; continue baking 5-10 minutes or until loaf is golden brown and cheese is melted. Sprinkle with parsley, if desired.
  6. Serve immediately. Pull out individual bread pieces, using tongs or 2 forks and reaching down into loaf to include filling and bread.

This recipe was FANTASTIC. The flavor was delicious and everyone at our party just loved it. A real keeper.

I used pesto with some fresh ground pepper, olive oil and made 3 loafs with all different cheeses. Turned out awesome and everyone loved it.

I love jalapeños but my husband does not. I used green onions instead.

I've already made this loaf twice. The first time, I cut the loaf. 2nd time, my engineer husband cut it. Being an engineer, he was precise. Don't be too precise with your squares. It will fall apart. About 1 inch apart can include an increase to that inch! Ha! Ha! I'd go with a larger grid next time!

Loved this one! I also used green onions and a smidgen of garlic. But instead of jalapenos all over, I only put those on half and then I also cut up sun dried tomatoes and mixed them in with the other stuff as well as shredded pepper jack & mozzarella. Yumm.

This is an amazing recipe. The taste is so good, I did use cheddar cheese and added some green onion. I have to get a little better at slicing the bread, but for my first time, my fiance and I loved it!

This was awesome and my family devoured it! The only thing I changed was to double the amount of jalapenos because we like things spicy and I used shredded cheddar cheese instead of slices of cheese chopped up. I would definitely make this again and can't wait to try the reuben version!!!

I have made this recipe a few times now. I changed it a bit , I don't use the peppers at all. I chop up green onions and put them on. I stuff the cheese , bacon, green onions into the slices the mix at least 1/2 cup of butter with minced garlic and pour all over the top. Excellent. Love it lots

Made this for Super Bowl and it was a big hit! It was extremely difficult to stuff, but worth the trouble. Love the idea of smaller loaves for others that don't like hot. Amazing.

With a little practice maybe I'll be able to cut the bread better. I loved this recipe, but next time I will be using less butter, as I felt it was a bit too soggy. I added fresh cilantro, basil, and garlic seasoning, substituted half a green bell pepper for the jalapenos, cut back on the cheese, and added olives. Delicious! I will be making this for the next family gathering, and probably go along with the popular suggestion of individual breads.

I made this recipe and there was none left. It was very good.

Has anyone used something else besides the jalapeño peppers? I am not into really hot.

Not sure why anyone would rate this 1 star based on the way it looks ?? I made this and it was wonderful! Next time, I think I'll try doing smaller rolls. THANKS!
