This quick-to-make caramel sauce is delicious over ice cream and topped with pecans.

Ingredients

3/4 cup
sugar
3/4 cup
firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 cup
light corn syrup
1/3 cup
Land O Lakes® Butter
2/3 cup
Land O Lakes® Heavy Whipping Cream

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients except whipping cream in 2-quart saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, 5-10 minutes or until mixture comes to a full boil. Cool 5 minutes. Stir in whipping cream. Serve warm.

Recipe Tips

This caramel sauce is a great sweet ice cream topping to give as a hostess gift or when you want to give a small food gift to someone special.

Keep refrigerated for up to 3 weeks. To reheat, microwave 45-60 seconds; stir well.

Have to show this to Hubby too! Sweet treat for sundaes and just homemade whipped cream. This is the BEST! In no way did I expect to get such a homemade and rich sauce. I made it with organic Brown crystals (in leui of commercialized C&H types)and pure butter, heavy whip cream at the end. I DO want to vary my next batch with coconut sugar. I also added some vanilla extract. Fabulous caramel sauce recipe! I don't use chews or hardened caramel candies, I could make a good batch of my own, but think about saving my dental crowns!

Made this recipe for an ice cream party to celebrate my daughter's graduation. It was sooooo delicious, it didn't last very long! I am sharing it with friends and will make it again and again! Delicious!
