A delicious new appetizer that tastes just like your favorite deli sandwich.

1 (16- to 18-ounce) round loaf Italian or sourdough bread
1 cup chopped corned beef
1/2 cup sauerkraut, drained, patted dry
1/2 cup Thousand Island dressing
10 (3/4-ounce) slices Land O Lakes® Deli American, chopped
1 1/2 teaspoons caraway seed
2 teaspoons chopped fresh parsley leaves
Heat oven to 350ºF. Place two (24-inch) pieces aluminum foil, crossing one over other, on flat surface.
Cut bread, using serrated knife, in grid pattern, spacing about 1 inch between rows. Do not cut through bottom crust. Set aside.
Combine all remaining ingredients except parsley in bowl; mix well.
Place loaf in center of aluminum foil pieces. Spoon cheese mixture into cut areas of bread. Wrap foil loosely around bread. Place onto ungreased baking sheet.
Bake 30 minutes. Pull back foil; continue baking 5-10 minutes or until loaf is golden brown and cheese is melted. Sprinkle with parsley.
Serve immediately. Pull out individual bread pieces, using tongs or 2 forks and reaching down into loaf to include filling and bread.
To make ahead, assemble bread with cheese mixture. Wrap in aluminum foil; refrigerate. Bake 35 minutes at 350ºF. Pull back foil; continue baking 5-10 minutes or until loaf is golden brown and cheese is melted. Sprinkle with parsley.

I made this for my Card Ladies. Great presentation, warm , delicious and easy to prep. Enjoy right out of the oven when the cheese is melted or at room temp as a "sandwich". Flavor combinations taste like an actual Reuben. I may try it next time with Swiss cheese and rye bread?? But the original recipe is fabulous as is!
