4 hoagie buns, uncut
1 Half Stick (1/4 cup) Land O Lakes® Butter
1 medium (1 cup) yellow onion, chopped
1 medium (1 cup) red bell pepper, chopped
1 medium (1 cup) green bell pepper, chopped
10 (3/4-ounce) slices Land O Lakes® Deli American chopped
8 ounces sliced deli roast beef, chopped
Heat oven to 350°F.
Slice buns, using serrated knife, in grid pattern, spacing about 1-inch between rows. Do not cut through bottom of bun. Set aside.
Heat 10-inch skillet over medium-high heat. Melt 2 tablespoons butter until sizzling; add onions. Cook, stirring occasionally, 5 minutes or until onions are translucent. Add remaining butter and bell peppers. Cook 2 minutes or until peppers are tender.
Combine onion mixture, cheese, and roast beef in medium bowl. Carefully spoon filling mixture into cut areas of buns. Wrap each bun in aluminum foil and place on baking sheet. Bake 20 minutes. Pull back foil; continue baking 5 minutes or until cheese is melted.

This would be so much better if you used real cheese steak meat, or Steak-umm, if that's all you can get. Roast beef is NOT the same thing at all!
