Frosted Lemon Cookies

2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

1 1/2 cups granulated sugar

1 cup Land O Lakes® Unsalted Butter, softened

2 large Land O Lakes® Eggs

1 tablespoon freshly grated lemon zest

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 1/2 teaspoons cream of tartar

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/4 teaspoon salt


2 1/2 cups powdered sugar

1/4 cup lemon juice

How to make

  1. STEP 1

    Heat oven to 400°F.

  2. STEP 2

    Combine all cookie ingredients in bowl. Beat at low speed, scraping bowl often, until well mixed.

  3. STEP 3

    Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls, 2 inches apart, onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake 6-8 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.

  4. STEP 4

    Combine all glaze ingredients in bowl; stir until smooth. Frost warm cookies with glaze. Sprinkle with additional lemon zest, if desired.
