Quick Peach Cobbler

1 cup sugar

2 tablespoons cornstarch

1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

4 to 6 medium (4 cups) peaches,   peeled, sliced


1 cup all-purpose flour

1/4 cup sugar

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 cup Land O Lakes® Butter, softened

1 large Land O Lakes® Egg, slightly beaten

3 tablespoons milk


Land O Lakes® Heavy Whipping Cream, sweetened, whipped, if desired

 *Substitute 4 cups sliced frozen peaches, thawed.

How to make

  1. STEP 1

    Heat over to 400°F.

  2. STEP 2

    Stir together 1 cup sugar, cornstarch and nutmeg in bowl. Add peaches; toss gently to coat. Place into ungreased 8-inch square baking pan.

  3. STEP 3

    Stir together flour, 3 tablespoons sugar, baking powder and salt in bowl; cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in egg and milk just until moistened. Drop 9 equal portions of dough onto peaches. Sprinkle with remaining sugar.

  4. STEP 4

    Bake 35-40 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly around edges. Serve with whipped cream, if desired.
