Chocolate Sour Cream Frosting

1 (11.5-ounce) package (about 2 cups) milk chocolate chips

1 cup sour cream

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

How to make

  1. STEP 1

    Place chocolate chips into microwave-safe bowl. Microwave at 20-second intervals, stirring, 1-2 minutes or until smooth. Cool slightly.

  2. STEP 2

    Place sour cream and vanilla into another bowl. Add melted chocolate. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl frequently, 2-3 minutes or until smooth and creamy.

  3. STEP 3

    Use to frost favorite brownie, cake or cupcakes. Store any leftovers covered in the refrigerator.

Tip #1

For a thicker frosting, whip with a whisk attachment on a stand mixer for 3-5 minutes.

Store any leftovers refrigerated in airtight container.

This rich chocolate frosting is especially amazing when used to frost our Cupcake Bites. You'll only need to make a half-batch, or make the full batch and have leftover frosting for other treats!
